Creative Findings

Hello there, PF fans! I’m so excited to be part of the Pinkfresh Studio April Essentials Release Blog Hop. So many new, amazing stand alone dies that every crafter needs in their stash.

You should have arrived from the super talented Emily Midgett‘s blog.

Today I’m sharing four cards created with some of the sets. I had a lot of fun playing with them.

The first pair features the Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles. Both cards have a simple design, enhanced by the pretty floral bouquets of the Fancy Blooms Stamp Set and the new Pinkfresh paper collections.

For the first card, I used the bigger scallop circle to create an opening in the center of my 4”x5.25” panel, which I had trimmed from the Being Us paper in the Joyful Day collection.

I backed the opening with the True Story patterned paper and added tiny sequins all around the…

Hello again!

Stephanie Low recently launched her Just Add Color collection for Spellbinders and I’m happy to help pass the info along with a card that I made for today. I thought it was perfect for The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge!

I started by stamping and masking the flowers to arrange this floral spray. It makes for a simple one-layer card so it’s often all about the coloring. I honestly thought this was going to be a quick card when I started, but I ended up spending a long time coloring to give the pink flowers the intensity that it has.

Copics: RV00, RV11, RR85, RV56 (Pinks)
V000, V01, V15 (Purples)
G21, G82, YG07, G05 (Greens)
Y13 (Yellow)

After coloring, I splattered the entire panel with some watered-down white acrylic paint to give it some interest. For the sentiment, I used the February Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of…

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s February 2019 Stamp/Die/Stencil Release Blog Hop! We’ve got so much to share with you today and I’ve created with several new sets using different color mediums and techniques. I’ve got lots to share, so I’ll jump right in.

My first card uses the new Dotted Blooms stamp set. I decided to emboss the images in gold because I couldn’t decide what color I wanted the branches and stems. Then I used the Dotted Blooms Mask Stencil to apply Rubellite ink to the flowers using an ink-blending brush. The background is created by ink-blending Altenew inks in Desert Night, Dusk, Ocean Waves, and Sea Glass. I splattered the ink-blended panel white and black ink before adhering the images to the panel using foam adhesive. The sentiment is stamped on black cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder.

For my second card, I used Baroque Motifs and…

I simply stamped images on 4.25″ x 5.5″ watercolour paper panel using black pigment ink, and then loosely watercoloured all stamped images with the Watercolor 36 Pan Set.

I just followed the instruction, made 3D flowers & leaves, then adhered them on white paper panel. I decorated the left side of the panel with Dotted Washi Tape.

Hi Friends!!

Have you all seen the 2019 Hero Arts Catalog? I’m really excited I got to create samples for it this year and today, I’m sharing a card made using the Lily Pond Fancy Die. Please note – this new die will not be available for purchase until February 15th. I realize this is a bummer, but we will have a Release Blog Hop (on Feb 15th) and I will share this again to remind you :). I just wanted to share this as a preview so you can get excited and know what’s to come!

Koi and lily ponds are representative of my culture so I thought it was fun to make this card. It’s super simple with such a detailed die! I used a white A2-sized panel and centered the Lily Pond Fancy Die on it and ran it through my die-cutting machine along with the…
